The person behind the buzz

Hi, I'm Theo 👋

I built Buzz Tender Alert because I was fed up with overpaying for tender alert emails.

The backstory

I work at an SME in the UK and occasionally we bid for local government contracts. The thing is, winning tenders isn't our main revenue source, we just need to keep an eye on what's coming out. I wanted an email every morning to tell me what opportunities were out there that matched our keywords.

I tried the free services but they were way too noisy, sending me all sorts of irrelevant contracts, so we signed up to a well known SaaS company for their service. I'm not going to lie, it was a good service! The problem was, we didn't need 90% of what they were offering. Every month we were paying around £150 for a full suite of products like AI dashboards and bid reviews, when all we wanted was a clean, daily email of relevant opportunities.

So I thought — why not just build that? Strip it right back to what actually matters and charge a fair price for it. No per-user fees, no upsells, no sales calls. Just the alerts, tailored to your business.

What Buzz is (and isn't)

I'm deliberately keeping things simple. Here's the philosophy.

Simple on purpose

No AI scoring, no CRM integrations, no dashboard widgets. I even got rid of CPV codes! You get a daily email. It has your relevant tenders. That's it.

Fairly priced

£9.99/month or £49.99/year. I'm not trying to charge enterprise prices for a simple service. If all you need is alerts, why pay for everything else?

Email-first

Your inbox is where you work. So that's where your tenders go. Every weekday at 8am, like clockwork.

One-person operation

It's just me. That means no sales team chasing you, no account managers booking 'check-in calls'. Just a simple product that does what it says.

Sounds like your kind of thing?
